She apparently got ahold of my mother in law's blood pressure pill. I'm hoping that everything works out ok for her. I'm a nervous wreck right now.

Pill, or pill s ?

As far as medication mishaps go, this one isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things. There are ways to counteract it, as far as I know. Likely she'll have to go for the "just in case" scenario, stay for observation.

Been there, done that. Our little guy fell while in day care. Had to be transported to the hospital for a check-up and was released later that same day.

Still, it sucks big time. You simply don't want it to happen to your own kid(s). Good luck!

Will do. At this point, some of the pills were found. She took no more than 1.5 cozaar, so at most 150mg. They gave her charcoal and are now monitoring her.

I work in a hospital and frequently (read:daily) babysit people in the ER who've attempted suicide. They always recover. Yours is young, but also didn't take many. Modern medicine is a working miracle.
